Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Systems Analyst to support a blend of billing operations, production support, and technology enablement activities. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate billing processing, delivering responsive operational support, monitoring service levels, and partnering with technology teams to drive process improvements and automation opportunities.
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills, operational rigor, customer focus, and technical aptitude to successfully manage day-to-day business operations while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Billing Operations & Data Management (50%)

- Process recurring billing activities and operational transactions accurately and within established service timelines.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and exception management activities using Microsoft Excel and other business systems.
- Analyze large data sets to identify discrepancies, trends, and operational insights.
- Prepare and distribute recurring operational reports, dashboards, and management metrics.
- Investigate billing issues and data anomalies, partnering with stakeholders to resolve them efficiently.
- Maintain process documentation and ensure compliance with established business controls and procedures.

Production Support & SLA Management (30%)

- Provide day-to-day production support for business applications and operational processes.
- Manage incoming support requests, incidents, and service inquiries from business users.
- Track, monitor, and report on Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and operational performance metrics.
- Own issues through resolution, coordinating with business and technology teams as needed.
- Escalate critical issues appropriately and provide timely stakeholder communications.
- Identify recurring support trends and recommend corrective actions to improve service quality.

Technology Support, Enhancements & Automation (20%)

- Partner with technology and business teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
- Support system enhancements, user acceptance testing (UAT), and implementation activities.
- Assist in developing reporting and dashboard solutions using tools such as Power BI.
- Contribute to workflow automation initiatives leveraging PowerApps and related technologies.
- Document business requirements, process improvements, and enhancement recommendations.
- Support continuous improvement efforts that reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, Finance, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in operations, billing, production support, business systems, or technology support roles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, lookups, PivotTables, reconciliations, and large data set analysis.
- Experience processing operational or financial transactions with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to analyze data, summarize findings, and present actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Experience managing production support activities, including incident management, SLA tracking, reporting, and escalation coordination.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience partnering with stakeholders across multiple business and technology functions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer-service orientation with a proactive and solution-focused mindset.
- Demonstrated ownership and accountability for driving issues through to resolution.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work outside of immediate responsibilities to meet business needs and solve complex problems.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working within the financial services industry or another highly regulated environment.
- Experience supporting billing, reconciliation, financial operations, or transaction-based business processes.
- Experience creating reports and dashboards using Power BI.
- Experience developing or supporting solutions using Microsoft PowerApps.
- Familiarity with production support frameworks, incident management processes, and service delivery best practices.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies, workflow optimization, and automation techniques

Our employees work in the office at least three (3) days per week, with flexibility to work from home two (2) days per week.
