About this role
- Conduct psychological assessments and clinical evaluations of patients.
- Provide individual counselling and psychological interventions based on patient needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment and care plans in coordination with the treating team.
- Conduct psychometric assessments and maintain appropriate clinical documentation.
- Support patients and families in managing stress, anxiety, adjustment difficulties, grief, and emotional concerns.
- Provide crisis intervention and appropriate psychological support when required.
- Coordinate with psychiatrists, physicians, nursing teams, and other healthcare professionals for multidisciplinary patient care.
- Conduct patient/family psychoeducation regarding coping strategies, treatment adherence, and emotional well-being.
- Maintain confidential and accurate patient records and follow professional and ethical standards.
- Participate in case discussions, clinical meetings, awareness programs, and mental-health initiatives within the hospital.
- Monitor patient progress and modify the psychological intervention plan as clinically appropriate.
- Facilitate group counselling or therapeutic sessions where applicable.
