About this role

The Digital Sector at Leidos is seeking an Industrial Security Representative to support multiple programs and government customers in support of the Leidos mission. This position provides personnel and industrial security support across DoD and Public Trust environments, including background investigation processing, clearance and suitability management, compliance, records management, and customer support.

Primary Responsibilities

- Interpret, review, and apply security policies, procedures, and requirements established by government customers.
- Develop, administer, and audit assigned security processes and programs to ensure compliance with government regulations, contractual requirements, and established security procedures.
- Independently manage assigned security processes and activities, identifying issues, analyzing requirements, and developing appropriate solutions or recommendations.
- Provide day-to-day security support, including continuous assessment of procedures to identify shortfalls and recommend improvements to security policies, procedures, processes, and systems.
- Perform both independently and as part of a team in support of contractual security requirements across multiple programs and customers.
- Support personnel security and clearance management activities, including clearance and suitability prescreening, verification, maintenance, upgrades, crossovers, continuous vetting, reinvestigations, and other required personnel security actions, as applicable.
- Assist candidates and employees throughout the Public Trust background investigation process, including coordination and completion of eAPP, electronic and hard copy fingerprints, required documentation, shipping, tracking, and submission to the government.
- Review required security paperwork and documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with applicable requirements prior to submission to the government.
- Maintain accurate and timely personnel security information within the internal security database (SIMS) and applicable government security systems.
- Develop, implement, maintain, and analyze security metrics and reports to identify status, trends, risks, and areas requiring action.
- Ensure timely notification and communication of pertinent security matters, risks, and processing issues to program technical and management staff.
- Attend regular meetings with internal and external customers to provide security processing status, address issues, clarify requirements, and recommend appropriate processes or approaches.
- Provide guidance and support to team members on security processes, requirements, and procedures, as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree and 4–8 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree and 2–6 years of relevant experience. Additional years experience may be used in lieu of a degree.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
- Working knowledge and understanding of personnel and industrial security concepts, principles, practices, and applicable government security requirements.
- Practical knowledge of and experience with eAPP and Public Trust background investigation processing.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage security processes, analyze issues, and develop appropriate solutions or recommendations.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and data entry.
- Ability to enter, review, and maintain data accurately and timely to meet established deadlines.
- Highly organized with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment, manage multiple priorities and customers simultaneously, and meet potentially short deadlines.
- Demonstrated customer service skills and ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with all levels of internal and external management and government customers.

Preferred Experience

- Practical knowledge of and experience with DISS, and eAPP.
- Working knowledge of SIMS.
- Experience supporting multiple government customers simultaneously with differing security requirements.
- Experience with personnel security activities such as clearance verification and maintenance, continuous vetting, investigation processing, upgrades, crossovers, and reinvestigations.

## Pay Range:
Pay Range $65,650.00 - $118,675.00
