Job summary

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant has a broad range of duties covering financial and regulatory reporting. The primary focus is supporting the Financial Controller, and the Finance team, meet its quarterly/annual reporting deadlines.

The person in this role will have the flexibility to work remotely and in the office through a hybrid working model.

Main duties

- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual results for local and group reporting.
- Assist in the co-ordination of external audit queries as part of the year end.
- Assist the Financial Controller in improving current processes and implementing system changes to support the Company as it continues to grow.
- Assist in the preparation of Finance related material for Board & Committee presentations.
- Involvement in Ad-hoc projects where necessary

Skills and Experience

Relevant experience:

- Essential :  Insurance industry experience
- Desirable:  Solvency II and/or other regulatory reporting

Technical skills:

- Essential: Overall proficient in using Microsoft Office – excellent Excel
- Desirable: Experience in designing & implementing processes and using a general ledger

Education & Experience:

- Essential: Qualified Accountant or equivalent

- Good verbal and written communication skills
