About the role

As our Sr Accounting Specialist, you'll t plays an important role in developing a best in class GL department within the BSO.

We need development-oriented individuals, eager to engage actively in shaping and strengthening a high-performing department, valuing collaboration, process excellence, quality and fun in the everyday life.

During this six-month temporary contract, you'll take ownership of key General Ledger activities and provide functional accounting expertise within Business Service Operations.

Required Qualifications

- Prepared data and financial analysis to support business decision-making.
- Oversaw month-end close activities and related accounting deliverables.
- Managed General Ledger accounting processes in a Finance function or similar role.
- Used Microsoft Office tools at an experienced level.
- Worked with an enterprise-wide accounting system, preferably SAP or BlackLine.

Preferred Qualifications

- Applied Microsoft Excel to support financial analysis and accounting activities.
- Created financial reports or insights using Power BI.

What you'll build

- Control balance sheets and profit and loss statements for United States and Canadian legal entities.
- Oversee month-end close activities and help ensure accurate, complete reporting.
- Provide financial data, analysis and practical advice to support business decisions.
- Supply relevant information to external auditors and the Tax team.
- Analyze financial statements and annual reports.
- Provide information about specific General Ledger areas used to prepare and report financial statements.
- Review balance-sheet reconciliations and follow up on identified differences.
- Participate in the LEGO® tactical implementation plan supporting General Ledger priorities.

Life on the team

You'll join the LEGO® Group's Business Service Operations team, which provides employee and finance services from Monterrey, Prague, Singapore and China. The team works in a hybrid rhythm and values practical collaboration, clear communication and consistent quality. You'll bring initiative to your work, build trusted relationships and influence others through accurate analysis and dependable follow-through.

What success looks like

You'll establish strong control over month-end activities, financial statements and balance-sheet reconciliations across the United States and Canadian scope. You'll become a reliable source of General Ledger expertise for financial business partners, external auditors and the Tax team, supporting sound decisions throughout the six-month assignment.
