## How you create impact

As a Customs Team Leader, you will lead Customs-related activities while ensuring operational excellence across quality, performance, efficiency, workforce management, and people development. You will drive business targets, foster a high-performing environment, strengthen stakeholder and customer relationships, optimize processes and systems, and ensure compliance with procedures and quality standards. In this role, you will:

- Lead daily Customs operations, including task allocation, staffing, coverage, workload distribution, team performance, and disciplinary actions when required.
- Drive team performance and development by setting expectations, monitoring results, providing feedback and coaching, identifying development needs, and supporting succession planning.
- Participate in recruitment and onboarding, ensuring responsibilities, objectives, and performance expectations are clearly communicated.
- Manage administrative, functional, on-the-job, and refresher training, ensuring proper documentation.
- Maintain Work Instructions (WIs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring compliance with QSHE, internal, regulatory, and quality requirements.
- Monitor KPIs, including clearance times and customer satisfaction, and identify opportunities to improve quality, performance, and efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement and change management through root cause analysis, corrective actions, standardization, and simplification.
- Communicate effectively with employees, stakeholders, Business Units, and customers regarding performance, quality, operational challenges, improvements, and feedback.
- Strengthen customer and Business Unit relationships and support solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Collaborate with the GS Support Team and local Business Unit partners, escalating service-impacting issues, including bottlenecks and staffing challenges
- Support system optimization, utilization, and training across CargoWise, SALOG, JIRA, RT, and BO.
- Optimize resources based on operational volumes and business needs while handling business and customer/country information confidentially.
- Promote accountability, ownership, collaboration, continuous improvement, and company values.

## What we would like you to bring

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Customs Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in a leadership or people management role, with demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and manage team performance.
- Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to use performance information to identify improvement opportunities.
- Knowledge of Foreign Trade and/or Logistics.
- English proficiency at B2-C1 level.
- Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide, develop, and manage team performance.
- Effective time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to work in a dynamic operational environment.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees, stakeholders, and customers.
- Resilience and adaptability, with the ability to work under pressure and adjust effectively to changing business and operational needs.

Work schedule: Monday to Friday 7:45 am to 4:45pm Hybrid work Model

This position is subject to a rotating schedule and shift, which may vary between day, night, or mixed shifts. Your days off will also be assigned by the company, and both your schedule and days off may be modified with a minimum notice of five (5) business days.
