About this role
This is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door with one of the area's fastest growing and most stable companies. This is a 3rd shift position in an engineering lab, Sunday - Thursday, 11pm - 7:30am. The lab is set up and much of the technician's job will involve making sure tests continue to run so there is no downtime before 1st shift comes in. The Engineering Technician is responsible for performing testing on current and new product designs under close supervision. This role supports continuous improvement initiatives to reduce the potential for product defects and contributes to laboratory operations in accordance with established standards and procedures. Set up test equipment and products in the correct sequence in accordance with approved test procedures. Perform testing on prototypes, existing products, and competitor products based on defined criteria involving mechanical, electrical, environmental, and electromechanical functions Utilize a variety of mechanical, electrical, and electronic measurement instruments. Accurately interpret, record, and document scientific notation, temperature, pressure, and other measurement data.
- Assist with the assembly and fabrication of test equipment and prototype products according to blueprint specifications.
Essential Skills
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools.
- Comfortable working around electrical wiring and wire harnesses.
- Ability to read and follow procedures and work instructions.
- Basic computer skills.
- Reliable, trainable, and willing to learn new equipment and processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must provide basic personal hand tools.
Work Environment This position operates within a laboratory environment that requires adherence to safety protocols and procedures. The work involves handling various mechanical and electrical tasks, necessitating the use of basic hand tools. The role is structured in a second shift schedule, which is Monday through Thursday from 1:30 PM to 11:00 PM and Friday from 11:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
