Job Description

NBCUniversal is hiring a Platform Operations Manager primarily responsible for the operational preparation and launch of Peacock’s streamable VOD content, as well as hubs and campaigns. Additionally, you will support targeted Marketing efforts for users’ varied tiers and entitlements.

We’re looking for an unflappable, detail-oriented team member who can manage various content management systems in a fast-changing industry — while also providing versatile support to the team. The Platform Operations team is tasked with ensuring the promotion of priority titles, buzzy metadata, eye-catching imagery, and related assets that intrigue subscribers. This includes alternative and custom assets used in audience segmentation and multi-variant testing.

It’s a 24/7 operation responsible for updating content based on performance, strategy, and events unfolding in real time. Our team works in coordination with the Product, Marketing, and Customer Support teams in addition to other stakeholders. Therefore, this role will be involved in product enhancements, metadata optimization, and feature expansions that keep Peacock evolving and current in the streaming landscape.

Responsibilities

- Create and scale a playbook of operational executions that will support cross-functional launches of priority VOD content 
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of building and scheduling Peacock-branded campaigns, collections, and hubs 
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of building and scheduling the platform’s varied tiers and audience-targeted experiences 
- Lead a team of tech-savvy programmers who build the various environments on Peacock 
- Ideate and collaborate on new product enhancements by advising on the operational implementation that’d bring said experience to life 
- Provide support for tentpole initiatives across NBCUniversal verticals, including high-profile content launches, breaking news events, and marquee sporting events 
- Evaluate incidents to identify immediate solutions and work with the Impact team to escalate issues to the proper departments if necessary 
- Liaison between Merchandising Strategy, Product, and CMS Tooling teams to ensure that all parties are informed of platform scheduling and potential bugs 
- Support the Sr. Manager of Platform Operations in process optimizations, product enhancements, and both strategic and creative decision-making

Qualifications

- 3+ years’ experience working on digital media platforms 
- 3+ years of experience managing title operations or publishing at a large-scale merchandising, e-commerce, or video service 
- Experience with CMS toolsets 
- Experience with AirTable 
- Exhibit excellent organization and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to clearly and concisely articulate workflows and concepts for a variety of audiences 
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance processes for efficiencies and help develop new workflows for continual improvement for platform operations 
- Excellent writing and presentation skills

Preferred Characteristics

- Hands-on experience managing complex publishing projects 
- Comfort working with a range of content management systems and AI tools 
- Strong sense of ownership over accuracy and quality of work 
- Ability to juggle multiple projects with different workflows and procedures 
- Proven ability to set and meet deadlines for large-volume content publishing 
- Clear, consistent communication with cross-functional teams 
- Commitment to improving workflows and processes 
- Maintain strong leadership skills and committed to being a team player 
- A passion for television, movies, sports, and news

Additional Requirements

- Hybrid : This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.

- Salary range: $85,000 - $110,000 +  bonus & long-term incentive eligible.
