Job Description
NBC News Group is looking for a passionate, motivated candidate to join the Digital Analytics team. Our team sits at the intersection of data, storytelling, and growth—using insights to inform content strategy, optimize product experiences, and drive audience growth and engagement across our brands.
In this role, you will lead reporting and analysis of content performance across streaming and audio platforms with a focus on our FAST channels, NBC News NOW, Dateline 24/7 and TODAY All Day. The Manager will play a critical role on the team, shaping analytics approaches, ensuring data accuracy, identifying key trends and performance drivers, and translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations. You will partner with a diverse group of stakeholders across editorial, marketing, finance, product, and business teams to help them understand what audiences are watching and listening to, how they’re engaging with our content, and where opportunities exist to improve programming, distribution, and the overall audience experience.
The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in data analysis, a sharp eye for patterns, and a deep interest in digital media, streaming, and audio. You understand industry trends, content consumption, and audience behavior—and are excited to turn that knowledge into meaningful insights that help shape strategy across NBC News Group.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze performance of NBC News Group content across streaming and audio platforms to identify key trends, performance drivers, and actionable insights for stakeholders
- Lead and support daily, weekly, and monthly reporting on audience consumption, engagement, and content performance, evolving reporting approaches as business needs change
- Develop dashboards, presentations, and data visualizations that clearly communicate performance trends, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders and senior leadership
- Create and maintain audience and consumption forecasts for streaming platforms in partnership with finance and planning teams
- Partner closely with communications and marketing teams to develop data-driven messaging around streaming performance, audience growth, and key milestones
- Monitor the broader streaming and digital media landscape to identify industry trends, evolving audience behaviors, and competitive performance
- Partner with editorial, product, finance, marketing, and business teams on ad hoc analyses that answer key business questions and inform strategic decision-making
- Help ensure the accuracy and consistency of streaming and audio data, reporting, and measurement methodologies across the organization
Qualifications
- 5+ years of analytics experience, preferably within the media, entertainment, streaming, or digital publishing industries
- BA/BS or MS degree in a quantitative area of study (Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or related discipline)
- Experience with web and social analytics tools (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, etc.)
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, Domo, or Power BI
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel (R or Python a plus)

- A proactive, self-starter mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
Additional Requirements:
- Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.

Salary range: $100,000 - $115,000 (bonus eligible)
