About this role
About the Role
Own a core operational domain at an early-stage fintech and digital banking company, such as customer operations, payment operations, or financial crime operations. Reporting to the COO, you will build processes and automation that improve operational capacity without relying on proportional headcount growth.
What You'll Do
- Handle operational cases directly to identify process pain points and define meaningful performance metrics.
- Design and own end-to-end workflows, including SOPs, escalation paths, KPIs, tooling, and automation.
- Build and deploy automations or agents in live operational environments, then measure their impact.
- Partner with Engineering and Product to specify and shape operational tools and agent-based systems.
- Review and improve processes as workflows evolve, keeping human attention focused on high-risk or complex decisions.
What We're Looking For
- At least 3 years building products or processes in banking, fintech, payments, or crypto, or tier-1 consulting experience involving regulated financial services.
- Experience shipping production automations or agents, not only prototypes.
- Hands-on experience with operational work such as queue management, case handling, or transaction processing.
- Ability to own operational domains end to end, including process design, SOPs, KPI definition, and tooling selection.
- Experience designing workflow automation and working directly with Engineering and Product teams to build operational systems.
- Knowledge of regulated financial services operations; experience with payments, clearing, settlement, compliance, risk, or financial crime workflows is useful.
- Familiarity with AI agents, LLMs, or intelligent automation is valuable.
