- Evening Shift: 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM
- Overnight Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to join a growing hospital laboratory team. In this role, you will obtain blood specimens and collect non-blood specimens such as urine, sputum, and throat swabs for laboratory testing. You will play a critical role in patient care by ensuring accurate specimen collection, processing, and preparation for in-house and reference laboratory testing.
## Responsibilities
Perform venipuncture and blood specimen collection on adult and pediatric patients. Collect non-blood specimens, including urine, sputum, and throat swabs. Conduct screening tests and accurately document and report results. Process and prepare specimens for laboratory testing. Package and prepare specimens for dispatch to reference laboratories. Provide excellent patient service while working efficiently in a fast-paced hospital environment.
## Qualifications
Previous phlebotomy experience required. Proven experience performing venipuncture and blood draws. Ability to work independently in a busy hospital laboratory setting. Strong attention to detail and commitment to specimen quality. Ability to handle a high-volume workload while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tulsa, OK.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
