Job Description
Overview:
The Analyst, U.S. Merchant Partnerships, Travel Vertical supports the growth and management of Visa's Travel partnerships across a portfolio of strategic merchant clients. This role partners closely with Account Executives, Senior Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to identify growth opportunities, initiate and strengthen client relationships, and accelerate adoption of Visa's broad portfolio of products and services.
The Analyst plays an important role in supporting client strategy development, account planning, pipeline management, portfolio analytics, and commercialization efforts across Visa's Travel business. This individual will help drive measurable business outcomes by supporting client engagements, identifying opportunities, developing strategic insights, and coordinating resources across Visa's matrixed organization.
The role provides exposure to Visa's broad portfolio of Travel Merchant capabilities, including Value-Added Services, Consulting & Analytics, Risk and Identity Solutions, Acceptance Solutions, Data Solutions, Loyalty and Engagement offerings, Commercial Money Movement Solutions, and emerging commerce innovations, through direct engagement with client teams and internal stakeholders.
This position is designed for individuals seeking to build a career in relationship management, business development, payments, consulting, strategic sales, or client partnership management. The Analyst will gain hands-on experience supporting some of Visa's most important merchant relationships while developing commercial, analytical, and client management capabilities.

Essential Functions:
- Support Account Executives and Travel leaders in managing and growing a portfolio of strategic merchant relationships.
- Contribute to the development and execution of account plans designed to strengthen client relationships, deepen executive engagement, and accelerate revenue growth.
- Analyze client portfolios to identify growth opportunities, product adoption trends, competitive insights, and strategic recommendations.
- Assist with opportunity identification, qualification, tracking, forecasting, and pipeline management activities.
- Support commercialization efforts across Visa's Travel portfolio by coordinating resources, conducting research, and helping advance client opportunities.
- Prepare executive presentations, business reviews, opportunity assessments, account summaries, and leadership communications.
- Monitor assigned accounts and industries for developments, competitive activity, organizational changes, and emerging commercial opportunities.
- Conduct market research, client analysis, and business case development to support account strategies and opportunity advancement.
- Maintain high-quality account, contact, opportunity, and forecasting data within Microsoft Dynamics and other sales management tools.
- Partner closely with Product, Consulting, Marketing, Client Services, Finance, and other Visa teams to support client initiatives and strategic priorities.
- Help expand relationship coverage by identifying key stakeholders and supporting engagement strategies across client organizations.
- Leverage AI-enabled productivity tools, automation, and analytics to improve portfolio management, opportunity development, operational efficiency, and client insights.
- Support recurring business reviews, strategic planning discussions, pipeline reviews, scorecard reporting, and growth initiatives.
- Participate in client meetings, internal leadership forums, and industry events to deepen knowledge of Visa's products, travel, and the payments ecosystem.
- Travel up to 10% of the time.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 6+ months of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 1 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD).
- Experience in business development, account management, consulting, analytics, strategy, customer success, client services, sales operations, financial services, or related business function.
- Strong interest in developing a career in strategic sales, relationship management, business development, consulting, payments, or financial services.
- Demonstrated analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and problem-solving skills with a desire to drive meaningful business outcomes.
- Ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate across a matrixed organization.
- Experience developing executive presentations, business cases, reports, dashboards, and client-facing deliverables.
- Experience leveraging CRM platforms, sales management tools, analytics solutions, and AI-enabled productivity tools to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
- Strong business acumen with an interest in understanding client strategies, industry trends, and emerging market opportunities.
- Self-motivated, intellectually curious, and eager to learn, with a strong desire to contribute to client and business growth.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Microsoft Dynamics, Copilot, and related business productivity applications.
- Familiarity with payments, fintech, bill payment, recurring payments, consulting, telecommunications, automotive, insurance, utilities, or travel industries is a plus.
Information for US Applicants
For roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $93,500 to $171,000 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements
This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
