We are looking for a dynamic Senior Excess Buyer to become a vital part of our Purchasing Excess Team in the Americas. This is a hybrid role based in Guadalajara, Mexico, sourcing excess inventory from suppliers across Mexico, the US, Canada and LATAM. Join the energy and come be part of the momentum!

As a Senior Excess Buyer, you will play a crucial role on the Purchasing team. You’ll build relationships with OEMs, EMS providers and distributors, and turn their excess inventory into opportunities for our global sales team.

Insight on your impact:

- Prospect and develop supplier relationships with OEMs, EMS providers and distributors, and confirm product availability and terms of sale

- Grow your supplier accounts in revenue, gross profit and contact coverage

- Review excess BOMs (bills of materials) to find lower-cost opportunities for Sales and increase overall gross profit

- Identify high-dollar parts and premium brands available on the market

- Identify speculative buys on shortage and EOL/LTB product backed by confirmed customer demand

- Review product applications to uncover additional sales opportunities

- Work with Sales to fulfill orders on products sourced through your channels

- Prepare and process purchase orders, and review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance with company policy

- Keep account, contact and supplier information current in our ERP system, along with records of goods ordered and received

- Take on other duties as requested by your supervisor or company management

Your qualifications, your influence:

To be successful in the role, you must possess the following skills

- 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement, excess inventory, or semiconductor distribution

- Strong understanding of the electronics supply chain (OEM, EMS, distribution)

- Proven ability in vendor prospecting and relationship development

- Commercial mindset with strong negotiation and closing skills

- Advanced Excel skills (analysis, pricing, data handling)

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

- Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment

Preferred skills and technical familiarity:

Adding additional insight, and a growth mindset, will elevate your contribution in this role

- Existing network within OEMs, EMS providers or distributors in the region

- Experience working with shortage, EOL or LTB components

- Familiarity with ERP/CRM systems
