About this role
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee daily kitchen and dining operations.
- Lead, schedule, train, and support the kitchen team.
- Ensure meals are appetizing, well presented, and meet resident dietary needs.
- Manage food ordering, inventory, and department expenses.
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and required records.
- Get to know our residents and respond to their dining preferences and feedback.
- Step in to prepare meals when coverage cannot be secured.
What We’re Looking For:
- Kitchen or food service management experience.
- Strong cooking skills and the ability to train and support cooks.
- Current ServSafe Manager certification required.
- Experience with ordering, inventory, scheduling, and food safety.
- Organized, dependable, and comfortable leading a small team.
- Senior living or healthcare experience is preferred but not required. Restaurant, school, hospitality, and other food service leaders are encouraged to apply.
Schedule:
Regular schedule is Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–4 p.m. or 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
The position participates in the community’s Manager on Duty weekend rotation approximately once every six weeks and may occasionally need to provide kitchen coverage when another team member is unavailable.
