Summary:
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk role in Columbus will perform a wide variety of assigned duties in the Warehouse. Keeps records of shipments and receipt of product. Use wireless tablets to status and complete warehouse paperwork daily. Verify truck parts being transported with proper paperwork and/or bill of lading.
Responsibilities:
- Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials and supplies
- Collaborates and communicates with service providers and others involved in shipment of product
- Track, traces and updates status of incoming and outgoing shipments
- Maintains a clean and organized area
- Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks materials
- Maintain accurate documentation of shipping and receiving documentation
- Keep warehouse clean by sweeping floors, emptying trash cans, stacking pallets, and storing cores properly
Duties:
- Receiving in heavy duty truck parts at a premier truck dealership
- Pulling, packing, loading, and unloading the parts
- Keep stored merchandise labeled and in proper number sequence
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education, Skills, Experience:
- High School diploma required
- Prior auto or truck parts experience is helpful
- Computer proficiency
- Must have good communication skills and possess the ability to follow instructions
- Must be dependable and results-oriented
- Forklift Certification - will receive on the job
Work Environment, Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, stoop and lift/move up to 75 lbs. on a regular basis
- Ability to work in a dealership environment to include 8 - 12-hour days with frequent exposure to weather elements
