Regional UX Lead, North America

The Regional UX Lead partners with North American product, commercial, and test-and-learn teams to embed customer insight and user-centered design into regional initiatives. As a member of the enterprise UX Strategy team, this role represents North American customer and market needs in the development of UX strategy, experience principles, and scalable experience capabilities.
The role connects regional learning with enterprise scale—helping teams validate opportunities quickly, apply shared UX standards and capabilities, and translate high-value regional insights into UX recommendations and reusable solutions.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role are to:
- Partner with North American product, commercial, and test-and-learn teams to identify customer needs, understand end-to-end workflows, and frame user-centered experience opportunities.
- Lead or support appropriate UX activities for regional initiatives, including discovery research, journey mapping, concept development, prototyping, usability testing, and evaluation of experience outcomes.
- Provide UX direction and recommendations that help teams create useful, usable, accessible, and trusted experiences.
- Identifying UX capability and talent needs for NA initiatives; partnering with the UX Professional Home to secure and develop the required talent and providing ongoing coaching and feedback to strengthen UX practice across regional products.
- Serve as the North American representative within the enterprise UX Strategy team, bringing regional customer, market, and operational insight into UX strategy, experience principles, and scalable capability development.
- Help translate enterprise UX strategy, standards, research assets, design-system patterns, and shared platform capabilities into practical guidance for North American teams.
- Identify regional insights, patterns, and emerging needs that should inform reusable enterprise UX recommendations, components, or product-platform capabilities.
- Distinguish between needs requiring intentional regional adaptation and those best addressed through shared enterprise experiences.
- Build productive working relationships and alignment across regional and enterprise product, UX, research, technology, commercial, and customer-facing teams.
- Share regional learning and UX recommendations clearly, ensuring that experiments and initiatives generate evidence that can be used beyond a single local implementation.
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in UX, HCI, Interaction Design, Product Design, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in UX/UI design, product design, interaction design, or digital-product delivery.
- Portfolio or case studies demonstrating strong UX/UI craft and successful delivery of digital products or end-to-end experiences.
- Expertise in interaction design, information architecture, user flows, wireframing, prototyping, and visual interface design.
- Experience partnering with product management and engineering to design, launch, and improve digital products.
- Ability to translate product strategy, customer needs, and research insights into UX direction and high-quality interface solutions.
- Experience applying design systems, accessibility standards, and reusable interaction patterns.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence in a complex, matrixed organization.
Preferred:
- 10+ years of experience in UX/UI design, product design, interaction design, or digital-product delivery.
- Experience contributing to UX strategy or transformation
- Experience working with test-and-learn and early stage innovation
- Experience designing enterprise B2B software, digital platforms, or complex multi-product experiences.
- Experience in digital agriculture, life sciences, or another complex, regulated, or operationally intensive industry.
Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately $151k-226k. Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive program (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..
