Position Summary
The Laboratory Technicain is responsible for performing routine testing and analysis of samples in a laboratory environment to support quality, compliance, and operational objectives. This position works within established procedures to prepare samples, conduct laboratory testing, analyze results, maintain accurate records, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process samples according to approved laboratory procedures and test methods.
- Perform routine qualitative and quantitative testing using laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Record, verify, and maintain accurate laboratory data, results, and documentation.
- Analyze and interpret test results and identify trends, discrepancies, or out-of-specification results.
- Follow established laboratory procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.
- Maintain laboratory equipment through routine cleaning, calibration, and basic troubleshooting activities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, quality, and documentation requirements.
- Support investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives as needed.
- Collaborate with laboratory personnel and cross-functional teams to meet testing and operational goals.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory work environment.
- Manage priorities effectively while performing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Communicate results and findings clearly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline, or equivalent laboratory experience.
- Previous laboratory experience in a professional, academic, manufacturing, research, or quality environment preferred.
- Familiarity with laboratory testing methods, equipment, and documentation practices.
- Ability to follow written procedures, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
- Effective problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer proficiency, including data entry and documentation systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a regulated environment.
- Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) or electronic documentation systems.
- Experience with analytical instrumentation and laboratory equipment.
- Knowledge of quality control and quality assurance principles.
- Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

- Position may require standing for extended periods and handling laboratory materials and samples.

This is a Contract position based out of Douglasville, GA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
