Essential Skills
- Support business development and operational excellence by participating in recruiting, mentoring, training initiatives, strategic planning, and continuous improvement efforts that strengthen Clune's project delivery and culture.
- Lead project pursuits and preconstruction strategy by participating in client interviews, RFP responses, presentations, conceptual estimating, value engineering, constructability reviews, procurement planning, and development of GMP and lump sum proposals.
- Provide strategic leadership throughout the project lifecycle by establishing execution plans, defining project goals, aligning teams, and ensuring successful delivery from preconstruction through closeout.
- Lead subcontractor procurement and commercial management by directing bid strategy, evaluating proposals, negotiating contracts, mitigating commercial risk, and ensuring successful trade partner performance.
- Serve as the primary executive liaison for owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners, fostering long-term relationships, managing expectations, resolving complex issues, and driving exceptional client satisfaction.
- Oversee project financial performance by managing budgets, forecasting, cash flow, contingency, change orders, cost control, contract administration, and overall project profitability.
- Drive project execution and operational performance by partnering with field leadership to monitor schedule, procurement, quality, constructability, risk, and project controls while proactively resolving issues that impact project success.
- Identify and mitigate project risk by proactively addressing financial, contractual, schedule, procurement, constructability, and operational risks while implementing strategies to protect project objectives.
- Lead project turnover and financial closeout by ensuring successful commissioning, owner turnover, warranty transition, final documentation, contract closeout, and financial reconciliation.
- Lead project teams and develop future leaders by mentoring Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Engineers, delegating responsibilities, providing coaching, and building high-performing teams.

Education
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering preferred
Work Experience
- Prior experience working for a commercial general contractor preferred
- 9+ years of construction project management experience, with 2-3 years of experience specifically in commercial construction required
