Senior Corporate Counsel – Asset Distribution Services

Location: St. Petersburg, FL

Jabil is seeking an experienced and business-focused Senior Corporate Counsel to support its Asset Distribution Services organization. This role serves as a strategic legal partner to commercial, procurement, operations, and customer-facing teams, supporting the continued growth, integration, and maturation of the business.

The Senior Corporate Counsel will lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of complex commercial agreements while advising on operational, contractual, and commercial risk. This individual will play a key role in developing scalable legal processes, governance frameworks, and contract management practices across a portfolio of evolving and recently acquired businesses. The ideal candidate combines strong commercial contracting expertise with practical business judgment and a demonstrated ability to help organizations scale while effectively managing legal and commercial risk.

What can you expect to do?

- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a broad range of complex commercial agreements, including customer, supplier, procurement, logistics, distribution, consulting, and services agreements.
- Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice to support commercial transactions, operational initiatives, and strategic growth objectives.
- Identify, assess, mitigate, and appropriately escalate legal and commercial risks while balancing business priorities.
- Support the integration and maturation of acquired and evolving businesses by developing scalable legal processes, contract standards, governance frameworks, and related legal infrastructure.
- Partner with commercial, procurement, operations, and customer-facing teams to establish consistent contracting and risk management practices across the organization.
- Advise business stakeholders on contractual, operational, financial, and commercial considerations associated with customer solutions and service offerings.
- Manage multiple legal matters and projects independently while exercising sound judgment and professionalism.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support strategic initiatives and deliver timely, solutions-oriented legal guidance.
- Contribute to Legal Department initiatives focused on improving efficiency, governance, consistency, and risk management.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Management & Supervisory Responsibilities

- Reports to Associate General Counsel.
- This position does not have direct people-management responsibilities, including hiring, performance management, compensation, or termination decisions.

What is the experience needed to be successful in this role?

- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited or foreign-equivalent law school.
- Active membership in at least one state bar and in good standing.
- Eligible to practice law in Florida.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of legal experience, preferably including significant commercial transactions experience.
- Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements, including customer, supplier, procurement, distribution, logistics, consulting, and services agreements.
- Experience supporting business operations and advising stakeholders on legal and commercial risk management.
- Proven ability to partner effectively with commercial, procurement, operations, finance, and business leadership teams.
- Experience supporting business integrations, process standardization, governance initiatives, or post-acquisition operational environments is preferred.
- Experience supporting global businesses and negotiating agreements involving international counterparties is preferred.
- In-house corporate legal experience is preferred.
- Willingness to participate in meetings and calls with global stakeholders outside standard Eastern U.S. business hours when necessary.

Preferred Background

- Experience supporting distribution, logistics, supply chain, procurement, asset recovery, reverse logistics, or related services businesses.
- Experience helping establish legal infrastructure, governance frameworks, and scalable contracting processes within growing organizations.
- Experience negotiating high-value commercial agreements with customers, suppliers, and strategic partners.
- Ability to provide practical, commercially focused legal advice in a dynamic and evolving business environment.
- Demonstrated success operating independently while serving as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders.
