About the role:

As the Associate Director of Facilities, you will lead the day-to-day operation, maintenance and upkeep of TQL’s owned and leased commercial office facilities across the country. Reporting to the Director, you will oversee a team of 15+ and ensure our workplaces are safe, reliable and well maintained for more than 9,000 employees.

This role requires an involved leader with strong knowledge of commercial building systems and experience managing maintenance teams, contractors and facility projects. You will set priorities, hold the team accountable and work closely with the Director to address building needs, improve service and support TQL’s continued growth.

What you’ll be doing:

- Lead, manage and develop a team of 15+ through coaching, training, performance management and clear expectations
- Oversee daily building operations, maintenance and repairs, including HVAC, data center, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, lighting and critical power systems
- Set daily and weekly work priorities, assign responsibilities and ensure maintenance requests are completed accurately and on time
- Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs, inspection schedules and procedures to keep equipment reliable and reduce unexpected repairs
- Oversee facility repairs, renovations, equipment replacements and improvement projects from planning through final inspection
- Coordinate contractors, vendors and service providers, reviewing proposals and ensuring work meets expectations for quality, cost and completion
- Monitor building conditions and system performance, identify recurring issues and ensure lasting repairs
- Oversee maintenance of commercial kitchen equipment and related systems to support safe, dependable food service operations
- Ensure facilities meet applicable building codes, safety requirements and federal, state and local regulations
- Coordinate maintenance and service for critical power systems and data center infrastructure with internal teams and outside providers
- Respond to urgent facility issues, coordinate repairs and keep the Director and affected stakeholders informed
- Partner with the Director and department leaders to address workplace needs, recommend improvements and coordinate work with minimal disruption to employees

What you need:

- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- 10+ years of progressive experience in facilities management, building operations or commercial property maintenance
- 5+ years of experience leading and developing facilities or maintenance teams
- Strong working knowledge of commercial building systems, including HVAC, data center, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration and critical power infrastructure
- Demonstrated experience organizing maintenance work, setting priorities and holding teams accountable for quality and timely completion
- Experience developing preventive maintenance programs, inspection schedules and standard operating procedures
- Experience overseeing facility repairs, renovations, equipment installations and improvement projects
- Proven ability to manage contractors and vendors, evaluate proposals and ensure work is completed correctly
- Knowledge of building codes, workplace safety requirements and facility compliance practices
- Experience supporting commercial kitchen equipment, critical power systems or data center infrastructure preferred
- Strong troubleshooting, communication and leadership skills, with the ability to make sound decisions and coordinate responses to urgent issues
- Ability to travel up to 20% as needed
