You will build complex harnesses to strict quality standards, using engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and are expected to contribute quickly with minimal training. The position is ideal for a hands-on wiring harness technician with experience in aerospace, defense, military, electronics, or other highly regulated manufacturing settings who takes pride in precision workmanship and consistent quality. Responsibilities

- Build and assemble custom wiring harnesses according to engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and detailed work instructions.
- Perform wire routing, crimping, connector installation, and wire termination activities using calibrated tools and equipment.
- Verify workmanship and quality requirements throughout the assembly process, ensuring all builds meet documented specifications and inspection standards.
- Utilize calibrated crimping tools and other production equipment correctly to maintain compliance with production and quality standards.
- Apply heat shrink, strain relief, and environmental/weatherproofing techniques to protect harnesses and ensure long-term reliability.
- Support troubleshooting efforts by working with engineering teams to resolve assembly-related issues, wiring discrepancies, and build problems.
- Identify and communicate any issues with drawings, schematics, or work instructions that could affect product quality or manufacturability.
- Adhere to aerospace, defense, military, and customer-specific quality requirements, including building to military specifications where applicable.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, following all safety procedures and best practices.
- Work independently and integrate quickly into production activities with minimal ramp-up time, delivering consistent, high-quality output.

Essential Skills

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and assembly/work instructions.
- Proficiency in connector installation and wire termination, including proper wire routing and cable management practices.
- Experience using calibrated crimping tools and related equipment for precise, repeatable terminations.
- Demonstrated ability to build products to documented specifications and strict workmanship standards.
- Strong attention to detail with a quality-focused approach to assembly and inspection requirements.
- Capability to step into harness assembly work quickly with limited training and minimal ramp-up time.
- Experience in aerospace, defense, military, FAA, DoD, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
- Understanding of military specifications and building products to meet those standards.
- Experience troubleshooting assembly issues and working alongside engineers to resolve build problems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Any cable and wire harness-related certification.
- Wiring Harness Technician, Cable Assembly Technician, Aerospace Assembly Technician, Avionics Technician, Electronics Technician, Aircraft Electrical Technician, Production Technician with electronics/wiring focus, Manufacturing Technician with electrical assembly focus, or Engineering Technician with harness assembly experience.
- Experience with low-volume, custom harness builds rather than high-volume, repetitive production.
- Knowledge of environmental protection techniques, including heat shrink application, weatherproofing, and strain relief methods.
- Experience building products in aerospace, defense, military, or FAA-regulated manufacturing environments.
- Exposure to aircraft assembly or maintenance, military electronics, automotive electrical systems, or test technician work.
- Mechanical assembly and repair experience, including hands-on fabrication or equipment repair.
- Personal hobbies involving electronics, automotive restoration, fabrication, or equipment repair that demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude.
- Interest in career growth into Test Technician, Engineering Technician, advanced Production Technician roles, or hybrid production/engineering support positions.

Work Environment The role is based in a manufacturing environment focused on low-volume, high-quality production of custom wiring harnesses and electromechanical assemblies for aerospace and defense applications. You will work with calibrated crimping tools, standard electrical assembly equipment, and inspection tools while following detailed engineering drawings and documented specifications. The environment emphasizes strict quality standards, adherence to regulated manufacturing requirements, and close collaboration with engineering teams for troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
