What You Will Do
As a Service Technician, you will perform inspections, maintenance, repairs, and installations on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems, Suppression Gas Systems, and other fire protection equipment at customer sites.
You will service and troubleshoot products from various manufacturers, including Simplex and ANSUL, while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and technical excellence. This role requires the ability to interpret technical documentation, manage daily service activities, and maintain strong customer relationships.
How You Will Do It
- Perform inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs on suppression systems and related fire protection equipment.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve system issues efficiently.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications, operational manuals, and technical documentation.
- Manage daily service calls, customer interactions, and documentation requirements.
- Conduct required inspections in accordance with customer contracts and applicable codes.
- Provide professional and timely customer support, addressing questions and concerns.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support emergency service needs.
- Utilize smartphones and other technology tools to document and manage service activities.
- Complete work at commercial, industrial, and government facilities as required.
- Maintain compliance with company safety standards, industry regulations, and customer requirements.
What We Look For
Required
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Windows-based systems.
Preferred
- Manufacturer certifications such as ANSUL, Kidde, Pyro-Chem, or other fire suppression certifications.
- State and local licenses, where required.
- Valid U.S. driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Experience servicing clean agent systems, dry chemical systems, and special hazard fire protection systems.
HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $26.90-$40.38 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
