JOB DESCRIPTION
Cloud Engineer (L2)
RFP | 18x7 AWS & Azure Managed NOC
ROLE PURPOSE
ENGAGEMENT CONTEXT
Provide L2 technical operations and
advanced troubleshooting for AWS and Azure, supporting diagnosis,
remediation, performance, capacity and operational improvement.
multi-business-unit cloud environment
with AWS and Azure workloads; 18x7 managed operations; customer
monitoring/ITSM ecosystem; ITIL-aligned governance, automation and continuous
improvement.
Key Responsibilities
· Troubleshoot AWS/Azure compute,
networking, storage, databases, IAM, load balancing and backup.
· Analyze Datadog, CloudWatch and
Azure Monitor metrics, logs, traces and event history.
· Execute approved remediation
and automation within change/risk controls.
· Support incident, problem and
change management, including RCA inputs.
· Tune monitoring and recommend
changes to reduce false positives and alert noise.
· Perform capacity, performance
and availability reviews and identify optimization opportunities.
· Support patching, maintenance
and operational readiness.
· Maintain technical runbooks,
SOPs, known-error records and knowledge articles.
· Participate in major incidents
and cross-domain technical bridges.
Must-Have Technical & Operational Skills
· 4–7 years cloud/infrastructure
operations with L2 troubleshooting.
· Strong AWS and Azure
core-services knowledge.
· Cloud networking: VPC/VNet,
routing, security groups/NSGs and load balancers.
· Compute, storage, backup,
database and IAM operations.
· Datadog, CloudWatch and Azure
Monitor experience.
· Troubleshooting from metrics,
logs, traces and events.
· ITIL-aligned Incident, Problem,
Change and Major Incident knowledge.
· PowerShell, Python, Bash or
equivalent scripting.
· Ability to support rotational
18x7 operations.
Nice-to-Have Skills
· AWS Associate and/or Azure
Administrator/Engineer certification.
· Terraform/IaC.
· Serverless services such as
Lambda, API Gateway and managed databases.
· FinOps/cost optimization and
rightsizing.
· Event-driven
automation/auto-remediation.
· Experience in customer-facing
or regulated environments.
Working Model
· Operate within defined governance,
security, access-control, change and escalation procedures.
· Maintain accurate operational
documentation, handover records and knowledge assets.
