QA Lead, AEM Guides
Role Overview We are looking for a QA Lead to own quality across our AEM Guides projects. This role will lead the QA teams across multiple projects and establish consistent quality practices across projects. The role goes beyond functional testing. The candidate should understand AEM Guides, DITA, structured content, content architecture, and publishing and be able to identify issues before they reach the client.

Key Responsibilities

- QA Leadership: Lead the QA track across active AEM Guides projects. Mentor QA engineers, manage resources, and track performance.
- QA Standards: Define and standardize testing processes, checklists, test plans, reporting, and release sign-offs across projects.
- Early QA Involvement: Work with Architects, Developers, PMs, and clients from the requirements and design stage to identify risks early.
- Test Strategy: Review test plans and test cases to ensure appropriate functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end coverage.
- AEM Guides & DITA Quality: Validate DITA structure, maps, metadata, content reuse, references, links, conditions, workflows, and publishing.
- Content Quality: Assess whether content is correctly structured, reusable, maintainable, and aligned with the intended content architecture.
- Migration QA: Define and oversee validation of content migrations, including content structure, metadata, links, references, maps, and published output.
- Defect Management: Drive defect resolution, root cause analysis, and release readiness. Identify whether issues originate from code, configuration, content, or architecture.
- Automation: Identify repetitive QA activities that can be automated and promote automation for regression, API, XML/DITA, content, and migration validation.
- Practice Improvement: Identify recurring quality issues across projects and create reusable solutions, processes, and best practices.

What We Are Looking For

- 8-10+ years of QA experience , including experience leading QA teams or projects.
- Strong understanding of QA processes, test strategy, defect management, and release management .
- Good understanding of DITA, XML, structured content, and technical documentation .
- Experience with CCMS, AEM Guides, AEM, or similar content platforms is preferred.
- Understanding of content architecture and information architecture .
- Experience with content migration and publishing validation.
- Good understanding of QA automation and ability to identify automation opportunities.
- Strong communication skills to work with clients, developers, architects, PMs, and authors.
- Good understanding of Jira and QA tracking/reporting.
