MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To deliver engaging and high-quality after-school Russian language tuition to students from 7 to 18 years old, fostering language development in a supportive and stimulating learning environment.
You will work after class hours, with the number of hours depending on the requirements. This is an hourly-paid contract.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Russian Teacher will:
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging after-school Russian lessons.
- Develop appropriate teaching resources, lesson plans and learning materials tailored to students' age, ability and language proficiency.
- Differentiate teaching to meet the individual learning needs of students.
- Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback to students and, where appropriate, to parents.
- Create a positive, inclusive and motivating classroom environment that encourages active participation.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and communicate any concerns to the relevant school staff.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistency with the school's educational standards and values.
- Undertake any other duties reasonably required by the manager.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
Qualification
- University degree in Russian studies or a related subject.
- Recognised teaching qualification.
Experience
- Experience teaching Russian to primary-aged children up to high school.
- Previous experience in an international school or multilingual environment would be an advantage.

Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent command of Russian (native or near-native level).
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate language lessons.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with young learners.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- ICT literacy, including the use of educational technologies and standard office software.
- Good working knowledge of English. Knowledge of French would be an advantage.
