YOUR IMPACT:
As a Principal Consultant at OpenText, you will lead the architecture and implementation of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions, with a strong focus on the Documentum platform. You will advise customers on solution architecture, sizing, scalability, and cloud deployment while delivering complex Documentum upgrades, migrations, and integrations.
You will work closely with customer stakeholders, project managers, sales teams, and technical specialists to understand business requirements, define solution approaches, and deliver reliable, scalable, and secure content management solutions. You will also contribute to presales activities, technical proposals, and the continuous improvement of implementation quality.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS:
- Architect Enterprise Content Management solutions that support large volumes of content from multiple sources, including SAP data, emails, documents, and images.
- Advise customers on architecture, capacity planning, sizing, scalability, and solution options.
- Lead complex Documentum upgrades, migrations, installations, and configurations.
- Design migration projects from non-Documentum platforms to Documentum.
- Work with ETL tools and develop migration plugins to support data migration requirements.
- Provide technical guidance on cloud architectures, deployment strategies, and migration best practices.
- Collaborate with Sales and Business Development teams to scope technical solutions and contribute to customer proposals.
- Engage with customer technical teams to gather requirements, conduct solution scoping, and define implementation approaches.
- Prepare detailed designs, effort estimates, work breakdown structures, and implementation plans.
- Perform development, configuration, integration, and testing activities.
- Monitor project progress, communicate status and risks, and proactively identify corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Product Support and other technical teams to resolve complex implementation issues.
- Conduct code reviews and quality checks to maintain delivery standards.
- Maintain relevant OpenText Documentum certifications and expand technical expertise as the product evolves.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED :
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a Bachelor's degree in Science with a Master's in Computer Applications.
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong hands-on expertise in complex Documentum upgrades and migrations.
- Experience architecting Enterprise Content Management solutions, including sizing, scaling, installation, and configuration.
- Experience designing migration projects from non-Documentum platforms to Documentum.
- Good understanding of ETL tools and experience writing migration plugins.
- Expertise in at least one major cloud platform — GCP, AWS, or Azure — with a solid understanding of the others.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and cloud architecture principles.
- Knowledge of database systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, and/or PostgreSQL.
- Understanding of network architecture, firewalls, extranet security, virtual environments, backup, and high-availability configurations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with geographically distributed teams and manage complex customer situations.
- Experience with Documentum Content Server, DFS, DFC, BOF, and DQL.
- Relevant cloud certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Certified Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- OpenText Proven Certifications in Documentum Content Management foundations, administration, programming, and development.
- Experience contributing to presales, solution scoping, and technical proposal development.
- Strong consulting, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
