About the role:

As a Regional Project Manager, you will lead strategic CAPEX projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within scope and on budget.
Working across multiple sites and functions, you will coordinate internal and external stakeholders, manage risks proactively and drive engineering excellence throughout the project lifecycle. This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on manufacturing performance, operational efficiency and long-term business growth across the region.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead CAPEX projects from initiation through execution and closure, ensuring successful delivery against scope, timeline and budget.
- Partner with Project Leaders and cross-functional teams to deliver project objectives and business value.
- Apply Barry Callebaut project management methodologies and engineering standards throughout all project phases.
- Manage project risks, develop mitigation plans and proactively address potential deviations.
- Monitor, report and escalate project progress with transparency and accuracy.
- Continuously seek opportunities to optimize cost, schedule, scope and overall project value.
- Ensure the highest standards of health, safety, environment and food safety throughout project execution.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously within a dynamic and international environment.
- Support project peer reviews, value engineering initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
- Contribute to root cause analyses when required.
- Collaborate closely with site leadership teams, engineering experts, procurement, finance and external suppliers.
About you :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Food, Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering, food manufacturing or consumer packaged goods (CPG) environments.
- Proven track record of delivering major CAPEX projects in international manufacturing environments.
- Strong expertise in project management, including scope management, budgeting, scheduling, stakeholder management, change management and risk mitigation.
- PMI certification or equivalent project management qualification is highly preferred.
- Strong technical understanding of food manufacturing processes and industrial engineering solutions.
- Advanced problem-solving, performance management and business acumen skills.
- Advanced English proficiency, including technical and industrial communication.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders from shop floor to senior leadership.
- Strong transversal leadership skills, capable of leading multidisciplinary and international teams.
- Experience coordinating contractors, engineering firms and construction or installation teams.
- Collaborative mindset with a passion for sharing knowledge and learning from others.
- Comfortable working in dynamic, matrix and international environments.
- Decisive, resilient and comfortable managing ambiguity.
- Strong ownership mindset with a commitment to delivering results.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams and MS Project).
- Experience with SAP and AutoCAD is considered an advantage.
- Willingness to travel internationally, up to approximately 40% depending on project requirements.
