Role Description
As a Business Senior Test Manager you will lead the end-to-end testing strategy and delivery across large, complex programmes, shaping how testing drives business outcomes within Allianz. This is a high-impact role offering the opportunity to influence enterprise-level change and evolve testing practices across the organisation.
Location: This role can be based in one of our London, Guildford or Bournemouth offices, please note that this is a hybrid working role with the expectation that you attend the office twice a week.
Salary Information
Pay: Circa £75,000 per year.
This is based on experience, skills, and location, and is part of our total reward package.
About You
As a Business Senior Test Manager you will
- Lead and inspire teams, fostering a strong team spirit and providing clear direction and purpose
- Take ownership of end-to-end test delivery across complex programmes, ensuring alignment to business objectives
- Define testing strategies and approaches, acting as the principal testing consultant for major initiatives
- Plan, schedule, and manage all testing activities, ensuring accurate estimation of cost, time, and resources
- Collaborate with stakeholders up to board level, influencing decisions and driving successful change outcomes
- Manage internal and external test resources, including offshore teams and third-party suppliers
- Embed governance, quality standards, and best practice across all testing phases
- Report progress, risks, and issues to programme boards and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and control
- Contribute to the ongoing development of testing capability and wider change strategy within Allianz
- Promote ethical, professional, and inclusive behaviours aligned to Allianz People Attributes
Essential Skills
- Excellent experience delivering Test Management at scale within Financial Services, ideally insurance
- Expertise in project and test management including planning, estimation, governance, and reporting
- Proven ability to lead medium to large teams across multiple locations
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels
- Experience managing complex change initiatives across both Agile and Waterfall environments
- Demonstrated ability to manage resources, suppliers, and third-party relationships effectively
- Highly developed problem-solving and facilitation skills
- ISTQB Test Manager Advanced Level certification (or equivalent)
- Practitioner-level qualification in Change or Project Management (e.g. APM, PMI, PRINCE2, Agile)
Desirable Skills
- Experience shaping enterprise-level testing strategy and driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Exposure to large-scale transformation programmes across multiple business units
- Excellent commercial awareness, including procurement and contract management
- Experience working within regulated environments
- Responsible Artificial Intelligence usage
