Position Details:

Job Type: part-time, permanent

Compensation: $18.50–$21.00 per hour, plus gratuities

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Line Cook at The Arlington Hotel, you’ll prepare quality dishes that meet our standards for flavour and presentation. You’ll work alongside a supportive culinary team, helping keep service organized, efficient, and consistent.
- Prepare menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Assist with food preparation, plating, restaurant service, and special events.
- Set up, stock, and maintain your station throughout service.
- Keep work areas and equipment clean, safe, and organized.
- Follow food handling, storage, sanitation, and safety procedures.
- Work with the culinary team to provide timely, consistent service.
- Participate in training, team meetings, and ongoing learning.
- Prepare each dish with care, accuracy, and pride.

From daily restaurant service to private events and celebrations, you’ll help create a welcoming dining experience for our guests.

What You Bring to the Table:
 
- Experience in a restaurant, banquet, or high-volume kitchen.
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with a range of cooking techniques.
- A Safe Food Handler’s Certificate is an asset.
- Culinary Trade Certification or a Red Seal designation is an asset.
- A genuine interest in food and pride in your work.
- Flexibility to work during daytime, evenings, weekends, and event-based hours.
