Job Description:
This is a new position that will centralize the Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act (FFATA) reporting for our agency, coordinate external audit activities, and strengthen internal controls to support audit readiness across the agency.

Office Location: This position is assigned to our office located at 84th & O St, Lincoln, NE.

Pay Grade 7: $30.979/ hour

This rate is based upon available budget funds; any offer will be made at this rate.

Essential Functions

- Examines policies, procedures, transactions, and workflow processes to evaluate risk-based control and compliance reviews, and shares results and makes recommendations to office leadership.
- Serves as liaison for state and federal auditors, prepares responses, and reports to audit questions.
- Maintains centralized tracking system for external audit findings, review recommendations, and corrective action plans. Follow up to determine if corrective steps address identified conditions, and report unresolved actions to leadership.
- Completes agency-wide Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act (FFATA) reporting within applicable timelines. Corrects reporting errors, maintains supporting documentation, and provides guidance related to source information.
- Maintains regular & reliable attendance, travels independently, and works in a variety of settings.

Working Conditions and Travel :

This position requires approximately 95% of work time spent in an office environment; the remaining 5% is spent traveling or working in alternative sites such as conferences, meetings, or training opportunities. There is also approximately one day of overnight travel per month.

Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of experience related to the essential functions of the position. Any equivalent education and\or work experience may be substituted in order to meet the minimum qualifications of the position.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in accounting or related field and two years of experience conducting audits, compliance, fiscal, or internal control reviews.
