Your future role

You'll play a key role in ensuring a smooth delivery of Industrial Operations deliverables for one of Canada’s largest public transit transformation projects. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Installation, and Project Managers), and ensure quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) commitments are met, and much more.
We’ll look to you for:
- Supports the Industrial Operations Management in driving integrated execution and performance across Supply Chain, Industrialization, Production, Test and Digital
- Ensures that dependencies, risks and actions are connected and managed across the overall Industrial Operations scope
- Provides cross-functional visibility of key milestones, readiness, risks, actions, resources and performance, and ensures alignment between the different Industrial Operations functions
- Support and coordinate Industrial Operations activities across the project portfolio
- Support the deployment of Industrial Operations strategy on-site using standard processes
- Animating performance KPIs to ensure operational excellence
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain the integrated Industrial Operations plan, consolidating key milestones and dependencies across Supply Chain, Industrialization, Production, Test and Digital.
- Coordinate Industrial Operations inputs to the project schedule and ensure key deliverables, dates and recovery actions are aligned with project milestones.
- Prepare and drive the Industrial Operations management rhythm, including weekly reviews, MPRs, action tracking and follow-up, working closely with functional managers to drive commitments
- Consolidate and monitor key performance indicators, readiness status, risks, issues and recovery plans across all Industrial Operations functions.
- Identify cross-functional dependencies, bottlenecks, root causes and gaps that could impact manufacturing or project delivery, propose solutions and coordinate corrective actions.
- Support manufacturing readiness and maturity activities, including APSYS, Industrial Reviews, readiness reviews and associated action plans.
- Track key customer and internal Industrial Operations deliverables and ensure clear ownership, due dates and status.
- Support resource and capacity planning, including headcount, recruitment status, workload and future resource needs.
- Support budget, CAPEX and key Industrial Operations cost tracking in coordination with Finance and the relevant functional owners.
- Prepare consolidated management reporting and decision-support material for project leadership.
- Support recovery plans, special initiatives and cross-functional problem solving where required.
- Drive continuous improvement of planning, reporting and performance-management processes within Industrial Operations.
- Monitor Industrial Operations deliverables, KPIs, risks and action plans across all project bundles
- Frequent Travel to Kingston, ON is required

The ideal candidate is a structured, analytical and execution-oriented professional with strong cross-functional coordination, problem solving and stakeholder-management skills.
A background in management consulting, operations/transformation consulting, program management, operational excellence, industrial operations would be well suited to the role.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or a related field. MBA is an asset
- Typically 8–10+ years of relevant experience in consulting, program/project management, transformation, operations, industrial environments or similar roles.
- Strong structured problem-solving and analytical capability, with the ability to develop practical recommendations
- Experience coordinating multiple workstreams or functions in a complex project environment.
- Strong planning, risk management and performance-management skills.
- Ability to influence and drive actions across teams without direct reporting authority.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise management-level reporting.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; Power BI or similar analytics tools.
- Exposure to SAP/ERP, manufacturing, rail, technology or other complex project environments is an asset.
- Ability to manage budgets and financial reconciliations effectively
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- Ability to travel to Kingston, ON frequently
- Fluent in English
