About this role

⭐ Mission
Shape how Qonto connects to the rest of its customers' world by building the Public API strategy: a reliable, consistent API that powers integrations, partners, MCP and Qonto Embed, and turns connectivity into a growth engine for our all-in-one and upmarket ambitions. You will report to Fanny, who leads Qonto Connect, and you will own the product and governance framework that every Qonto team builds on.
👩‍💻🧑‍💻 As Product Manager, Public API, you will:
Strategic ownership: Define the Public API strategy and roadmap for a product that already powers our integrations, MCP and Qonto Embed, and decide where to take it next.
Meaningful, high-stakes impact: Make the API a reliable foundation for connectivity, helping Connect grow for our active customers.
Platform thinking: Define a shared framework so that every Qonto team can build and expose its endpoints consistently, and partners can self-serve.
Cross-functional leadership: Partner with PMs and engineering managers across Qonto to align on priorities and get API needs onto their roadmaps.
🤔 What you can expect
Market context: The Public API is no longer just integrations. It now also powers MCP and Qonto Embed, so complexity grows fast and we need one person fully focused on its strategy.
Team: You join the Connect team of 3 PMs (marketplace and bank aggregation, integrations, Public API), working with an engineering team that mixes backend and low-code engineers.
The first question on your desk: what works well and what needs improvement in the Public API, how does each consumer of the API fit in, and what is our next bet in terms of use case tu enable and push via API.
Tools: You work with the public API documentation (open to partners without a Qonto account), the developer portal, and AI tools. Being comfortable opening the docs or the code is part of the job.
Rituals: a daily product and tech sync by scope, a Monday product weekly with peers, a Friday debrief to share wins and struggles, and a Monthly Connect showcase of results and new features.
🏅 About you
Experience: You have solid product management experience and are comfortable owning a product that every other team contributes to, with a roadmap you have to build and defend yourself.
API and technical sensitivity (a plus): You have worked on an API, integration, platform or developer-facing product, or you learn technical topics fast. You’re comfortable getting hands-on with API documentation and working closely with engineers.
Stakeholder management and influence: You have aligned several teams around a shared product without hierarchical authority. You communicate clearly with PMs, engineers and senior stakeholders, and you consider the impact of your plan on every team before pushing it.
Nice to have: Fintech, payments or partner-integration background, and curiosity for AI tools and vibe coding (we learn it together at Qonto).

At Qonto, we understand that true diversity isn’t just about ticking boxes on a hiring checklist. Apply regardless of the boxes you tick — who knows? You may have the missing piece of the puzzle we’ve been searching for all along.
