Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals.
Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. We have an exciting role within our team as a Sales Specialist supporting Leeds area .
Purpose of the role:
Account Management:
• Strive for positive customer experience of DPS in all allocated accounts in region
• Responsive in-person/phone case support for valid customer requests, complex surgeries/NPIs/NBWs
Inventory Management:
• Identify & execute opportunities for optimising consignment
• Manage SLOB in partnership with customer
• Provide customer training on inventory management best-practice and partnership with DPS
• Proactive contribution to the regional achievement of the pull-back target
• Ensure FOL inventory requests are needs-based and that NBW requests accurately reflect the realistic opportunity size and demand
Training & Education:
• Provide regular training of all clinical staff (consultants, registrars, theatre staff) on product and principles, to ensure safe and effective use of products, provide value to customers and to upskill to reduce reactive service demand
• Enhance training events with appropriate resources (kit, demo, sawbones marketing collateral, iPad, videos etc)
• Identify Prof Ed needs and target relevant courses for customers in need of development
• Ensure positive and meaningful Prof Ed engagement for customers; complete pre and post-training calls to prep/de-brief on the education episode
Sales Execution
• Challenger & procedural selling:
• Continuous pursuit of opportunities to sell the full DPS portfolio within a procedure to achieve targets
• 80% customer facing time, zero blank days, log in OF in a consistent and timely manner
• Take ownership of professional development in product, process and healthcare environment expertise
DPS brand and product promotion:
• Conduct in-theatre product evaluations, promote and share DPS activity with clinical & non-clinical stakeholders, generate and share service reports
• Effective use of sales aids, marketing collateral and digital resources to enhance product demonstrations during customer calls and product training
• Collaborate with colleagues across functions (marketing, prof ed, HCC, commercial) and across business units to support and enhance our customers’ DPS experience
Business acumen:
• Account planning and execution; create and update business plan throughout the year, during 1-2-1s and reviews with RSM
• KOL management:
• Contribute to SS/SBMs’ stakeholder maps, customer profiling and influence maps to ensure all stakeholders are effectively and deeply understood
• Create and execute stakeholder engagement plans, based on decision making ability and influence on the buying decision
