Summary of Role:

The Fab9 Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) process module is seeking a motivated Senior Process Engineer to become part of our 200mm Fabricator team, fully on site, at Fab9 in Essex Junction, VT. This Mon-Fri daytime position will sustain, improve, and own existing CVD processes as well as develop new ones.  The ideal candidate will support fabrication of dielectric and conductive films utilizing CVD methods and applicable chemistries.

Essential Responsibilities:

- Own and sustain CVD module processes to meet quality, yield, cost, and cycle time objectives.

- Develop and qualify new CVD processes, tooling, and materials.

- Partner with equipment engineering and maintenance teams to improve process capability and tool performance.

- Analyze process data and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

- Support new technology development and transfer into manufacturing.

- Create and maintain standard work documentation and training materials.

- Collaborate across manufacturing, integration, characterization, and development teams.

- Drive problem-solving activities to improve yield and operational performance.

Other Responsibilities:

- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs

- Other duties as assigned by manager / supervisor

Required Qualifications:

- Education – bachelor’s degree in engineering, materials science, or related technical discipline

- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of semiconductor process engineering or related

- Fluency in English Language - both Written & Verbal

- Skills

- Applied knowledge of CVD (preferred)

- Demonstrated ability to lead projects, taking initiative to drive solutions to problems

- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing processes & activities such as 5S, Structured problem solving, Value stream mapping, Kaizen teams, etch

- Strong planning & organizational skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills

- Travel up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications:

- Education - Master’s degree in engineering or Material Science

- Experience - 4+ years of relevant semiconductor experience and advanced knowledge of CVD tooling and processes

- Skills

- Advanced understanding of Lean manufacturing processes & activities such as 5S, Structured problem solving, Value stream mapping, Kaizen teams, TWI (Training within Industry)

- Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing equipment & GlobalFoundries' systems in Essex, VT

- Project management skills - i.e., the ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.

Expected Salary Range
$69,000.00 - $120,000.00
