Location: Kwajalein

Job Summary:

The Dispatcher is responsible for the daily operation of the Security/Police Desk located at the Kwajalein Central Patrol Station and Roi-Namur Security Detachment.  The job description below is not all inclusive of the dispatcher’s duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Staff the Security/Police desk 24 hours a day, 7 days a week including holidays
- Maintain Daily Activity Journal
- Maintain Military Police Journal
- Dispatch Security and DACP
- Answer 911 calls
- Dispatch medical and fire personnel
- Monitor IDS Alarm System
- Monitor C-sUAS station when installed and active
- Dispatch appropriate personnel to locations of IDS alarm activations
- Complete detailed incident reports when required

Qualifications:

- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must have an active U.S. Secret Clearance
- Possess 911 Communications Certification or ability to obtain
- Emergency Medical Dispatch Certification
- Must have completed a 40-hour basic telecommunicator program such as those approved by Association of Public Safety Communication Officials (APOC), International Academy of Emergency Dispatchers (IAED), Department of Defense (DOD), PowerPhone or states equivalent
- Ability to pass a medical screening include drug test

Preferred Qualifications:

- Prior Police/EMS Dispatch, military or civilian, experience is preferred

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:

- Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
- Work involves prolonged keyboard and monitor usage
