We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our growing team and play a key role in delivering innovative structural solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects. You'll work on everything from manufacturing and distribution facilities to data centers, commercial developments, historic restorations, adaptive reuse projects, and renovations . This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys both the technical and leadership aspects of the profession, including mentoring staff, building client relationships, and influencing project success from concept through construction.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you'll serve as a technical leader and trusted advisor to both clients and internal project teams. Responsibilities include:

- Leading structural design and analysis efforts for a variety of building projects.
- Serving as a primary point of contact with clients, architects, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Reviewing structural designs, calculations, and construction documents to ensure technical excellence.
- Providing mentorship, guidance, and oversight to junior engineers and designers.
- Managing project coordination across disciplines to deliver high-quality solutions that meet client expectations.
- Reviewing shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs, as well as conducting site visits and field reviews.
- Performing QA/QC reviews of engineering work.
- Supporting the professional growth and development of team members through training and mentorship initiatives.
- Helping foster a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

- 8+ years of structural engineering experience focused on building design.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license and/or Structural Engineer (SE) license.
- Experience designing structures utilizing steel, concrete, and masonry systems for low- to mid-rise buildings.
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

- Master's degree in Engineering.
- Working knowledge of Revit.
- Experience managing clients and developing relationships.
- Previous people management or direct supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated success mentoring junior engineers and leading project teams.

Technical Experience

Experience with industry-standard structural design and analysis software is preferred, including:

- Tekla Structural Designer (TSD)
- ETABS
- SAFE
- SAP
- Bentley RAM products
- RISA
- EnerCalc
- ADAPT
- Microsoft Office Suite

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Raleigh, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $75.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
