Job Description
We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to serve as a key link between suppliers and manufacturing operations, ensuring supplied components consistently meet quality, dimensional, and production requirements. This role focuses on supplier audits, supplier quality improvement, non-conformance management, root cause investigations, corrective actions, and supplier development initiatives. The Supplier Quality Engineer will collaborate closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Procurement, and Quality teams to drive supplier performance and support operational excellence. The position contributes directly to quality improvement efforts, supplier capability development, manufacturing performance, and long-term continuous improvement initiatives within a regulated manufacturing environment. Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary supplier quality representative supporting suppliers and internal manufacturing operations.
- Plan, conduct, and evaluate supplier audits to assess quality systems, manufacturing processes, and compliance requirements.
- Lead investigations involving supplier-related non-conformances and quality concerns.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
- Partner with suppliers to improve manufacturing processes, quality systems, and overall performance.
- Monitor supplier quality metrics, performance trends, and risk indicators.
- Manage supplier non-conformance activities, including documentation, disposition, corrective actions, and follow-up verification.
- Collaborate with Engineering to interpret drawings, specifications, tolerances, and GD&T requirements.
- Support Manufacturing and Operations teams by addressing supplier-related production issues.
- Review inspection reports, dimensional data, and quality records to verify conformance of supplied components.
- Support supplier quality system improvements aligned with ISO-based quality requirements.
- Participate in internal audits and quality management system activities.
- Maintain supplier quality records within ERP and quality management systems.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across supplier quality and manufacturing operations.
- Communicate quality expectations, findings, corrective actions, and improvement plans with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Required Qualifications
- Experience in Supplier Quality Engineering, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, or a related quality discipline.
- Experience within manufacturing environments supporting production operations.
- Strong root cause investigation and corrective action experience.
- Experience conducting supplier audits or supporting supplier quality activities.
- Experience working directly with suppliers to resolve quality concerns and improve performance.
- Knowledge of supplier quality systems and quality management principles.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances, and quality documentation.
- Understanding of dimensional inspection principles and manufacturing quality practices.
- Experience working with machined parts, castings, forgings, coated components, or similar manufactured products.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or comparable quality management system standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Operations, Inspection, and supplier organizations.

- Experience supporting Aerospace, Defense, Medical Device, Precision Manufacturing, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- Experience implementing or maintaining ISO-based quality management systems.
- Knowledge of machining processes and manufacturing methods.
- Understanding of dimensional inspection methods, tolerances, and GD&T.
- Internal auditor certification or experience conducting quality system audits.
- Experience developing supplier capabilities and driving supplier performance improvements.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and quality management software.

Work Environment
This position operates within an onsite manufacturing environment and involves regular interaction with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Operations, Inspection personnel, and external suppliers. The role supports quality improvement initiatives, supplier development programs, audit activities, manufacturing operations, and quality system compliance efforts. Limited travel may be required to support supplier visits, audits, and quality-related activities.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
