Job Title: Accounting Analyst needed in Miami FL! This is 4 days a week onsite and 1 day remote. Must have a Bachelors Degree! Job Description The Accounting Analyst will support financial operations within Risk Management, focusing on payments, reimbursements, accounting activities, and analysis. This role involves administering payments for crew members on medical leave, processing medical expense reimbursements, researching discrepancies, and ensuring accurate transaction completion. Additionally, the analyst will engage in accounting activities such as journal entries and financial-system uploads, utilizing Excel for lookups, calculations, reconciliation, and analysis. The role encompasses financial reporting, claims-related data, internal stakeholder support, audit/financial reporting, data administration, and special projects. Responsibilities
- Manage and support recurring medical-leave pay processes.
- Process and reconcile employee medical-expense reimbursements.
- Research payment discrepancies, such as underpayments and calculation errors.
- Perform detailed Excel calculations, lookups, and reconciliations.
- Prepare and/or support journal entries.
- Assist with uploads into financial systems.
- Analyze financial and operational information and provide findings.
- Serve as a resource for internal stakeholders regarding payment-related inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records and strong attention to data integrity.
- Support ad hoc financial analysis and departmental projects.
Essential Skills
- Strong hands-on Excel capabilities, particularly with lookups, formulas, calculations, and working with financial data.
- Experience preparing or supporting journal entries and accounting processes.
- Ability to perform financial analysis, research discrepancies, and identify/correct payment issues.
- Experience handling detailed payments, reimbursements, reconciliations, or comparable financial transactions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with financially sensitive data.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Accounting or Finance education/ strongly preferred.
- Approximately 2+ years of relevant financial, accounting, or analytical experience preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Ability to research discrepancies through resolution.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
- SOX/internal-control experience is beneficial.
- Experience with financial reporting applications is a plus.
Work Environment The role is set in a professional office/corporate environment with an initial assignment length of approximately 6 months, with potential for extension. The schedule requires 4 days onsite with Fridays remote.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
