What Youll Do

As a Culinary Services Assistant / Dietary Aide, youll support our residents and Culinary Services team with meal service, food preparation, and maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment. Your responsibilities will include:

- Serving meals according to menus and residents individual preferences and dietary needs

- Preparing and stocking the tray line with beverages, condiments, utensils, and other items

- Assisting with assembling meal trays accurately according to residents therapeutic diets

- Providing residents with menu information and friendly, helpful service

- Assisting with food preparation and operating food service equipment as needed

- Delivering, picking up, and cleaning dish carts

- Setting tables and preparing dining areas for meal service

- Clearing, cleaning, and sanitizing tables, workstations, appliances, and kitchen equipment

- Following food safety and sanitation guidelines

- Assisting cooks and other Culinary Services team members when needed

- Helping create a positive and enjoyable dining experience for our residents

Qualifications

- Can read and follow instructions

- Has good communication and interpersonal skills

- Can remember resident preferences and important meal service details

- Works efficiently and completes tasks within established timeframes

- Understands or is willing to learn proper food handling and sanitation procedures

- Works well as part of a team

- Brings a positive and dependable attitude to work

Previous food preparation or serving experience is preferred.
