About this role

Hours – 7:30am to 4:00pm, Mon-Fri (every other weekend on call rotation)

Were looking for an Assistant Culinary Manager to help lead our Culinary Services team and support the day-to-day operations of the department.

What Youll Do

As an Assistant Culinary Manager, youll work closely with the Culinary Manager to support department operations, lead team members, and ensure our residents receive quality meals that meet their individual needs. Your responsibilities will include:

- Supervising and providing day-to-day direction to Culinary Services team members

- Delegating responsibilities and assignments to help the department operate efficiently

- Stepping in to perform Cook and Dietary Aide responsibilities when needed

- Assisting with planning, coordinating, and executing special events and catering functions

- Collaborating with the Culinary Manager, Dietitian, and Director of Nursing regarding residents therapeutic diets

- Assisting with food preparation and operating food production equipment when needed

- Monitoring food and dietary supply inventory and helping identify ordering needs

- Ensuring food safety, sanitation, and regulatory guidelines are consistently followed

- Supporting daily operations and assuming Culinary Manager responsibilities when the manager is unavailable

- Helping create a positive, organized, and team-focused work environment

Qualifications

- Takes pride in providing excellent service and creating a positive experience for residents

Experience & Certification

- A minimum of 3 years of food service experience is required

- Must have or be able to obtain ServSafe certification
