Job Title: Roads & Access Coordinator Job Description The Roads & Access Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all land, road access, and road improvement activities required to support the construction of compressor station projects in British Columbia. This role manages third-party land brokers and permitting consultants, secures road-related agreements and authorizations, and coordinates significant road upgrades and access improvements in close collaboration with Construction, Engineering, Logistics, and Project Management teams. The coordinator serves as the central point of contact for all road-related matters, ensuring that access requirements, stakeholder commitments, and permitting activities are executed in alignment with project schedules over a multi-year project timeline. Responsibilities

- Coordinate all road access requirements and road improvement activities necessary to support construction of compressor station projects in British Columbia.
- Manage third-party land brokers and permitting consultants responsible for obtaining road-related agreements and authorizations.
- Coordinate the acquisition of Road Use Agreements, Road Maintenance Agreements, Access Agreements, Crossing Agreements, and other road-related approvals and permits.
- Interface regularly with road owners, tenure holders, regulators, contractors, and internal project teams regarding road-related requirements and constraints.
- Plan and coordinate significant road upgrades, maintenance activities, crossings, and access improvements required for project execution.
- Align all road-related activities with engineering, construction, logistics, and overall project schedules to support safe and efficient project delivery.
- Identify and manage road-access risks, constraints, and potential schedule impacts, and communicate these to project stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of agreements, permits, commitments, and road-related activities to support compliance and project reporting.
- Collaborate with land brokers to coordinate acquisition of private land access agreements in partnership with Project Management and Construction Management teams.
- Support construction and logistics teams by providing timely information on access conditions, restrictions, and required improvements.

Essential Skills

- Minimum 8 years of experience in land access, road management, transportation coordination, rights-of-way, infrastructure development, or related activities within British Columbia.
- Proven experience in land access and rights-of-way management, including coordination of road access for large infrastructure or resource-sector projects.
- Experience obtaining and coordinating Road Use Agreements, Access Agreements, Road Maintenance Agreements, Crossing Agreements, and related authorizations.
- Strong knowledge of British Columbia road networks, including Forest Service Roads, industrial roads, private roads, and associated access requirements.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating road construction, road upgrades, maintenance works, or access improvement projects.
- Experience managing consultants, land brokers, contractors, or other service providers involved in land and road access.
- Background in pipeline, energy, infrastructure, forestry, mining, or other resource-sector projects.
- Solid understanding of permitting processes and permit applications related to road access and construction in British Columbia.
- Experience working with construction management teams to integrate access planning into project execution.
- Valid drivers licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.

- Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate road-access risks and constraints that may affect project timelines.
- Effective communication skills to serve as the focal point for road-related matters across diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in infrastructure development within remote or resource-based regions of British Columbia.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary project teams.

Work Environment The role initially operates from an office setting in Calgary, collaborating closely with project teams and external stakeholders during the early phases of planning and coordination. Over the course of the multi-year project, the position will mobilize to Prince George, British Columbia, where work will involve regular visits to field locations and construction sites to oversee road access and improvement activities. The work environment includes a mix of office-based coordination and field-based oversight, requiring travel by vehicle to various road networks such as Forest Service Roads, industrial roads, and private access routes.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Calgary, AB.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $180000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
