We are presently seeking an Operations Project Manage r that will create and execute the production planning strategy in conjunction with Production and Customer Service to meet customer demands within the constraints of the capacity plan.

Key Responsibilities:

- Project Planning and Execution:

- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.

- Lead project teams, providing direction, motivation, and support throughout the project lifecycle.

- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

- Stakeholder Management:

- Engage with stakeholders to define project requirements, expectations, and deliverables.

- Communicate project status, progress, and issues to stakeholders and senior management.

- Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts or concerns as they arise.

- Budget and Resource Management:

- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial resources are used effectively and efficiently.

- Coordinate with resource managers to secure necessary personnel and resources for project execution.

- Track and report on project expenditures and ensure cost control measures are in place.

- Quality Assurance:

- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to organizational policies and procedures.

- Conduct regular reviews and assessments to ensure project objectives are achieved and deliverables are of high quality.

- Leadership and Team Development:

- Mentor and support junior project managers and team members, fostering professional growth and development.

- Promote a collaborative and positive team environment, encouraging effective communication and teamwork.

- Continuous Improvement:

- Identify opportunities for process improvements, spinoff and replication projects and implement best practices in project management.

- Conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned and enhance future project performance.

Qualifications:

- Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field

- Experience:

- Minimum of 8-10 years of project management experience, in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3-5 years in a senior project management role.

- Proven track record of managing large, complex projects successfully.

- Certifications:

- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred.

- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt required, Black Belt preferred.

- Advanced certifications (e.g., Program Management Professional (PgMP), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)) preferred.

- Skills:

- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Advanced project management skills, including proficiency in project management software and tools.

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.

- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Pay Range: $100,000 - $125,000 depending on experience.

Our facility in Boulder, Colorado has key functions in Research and Development, Operations, Production, and other disciplines. This facility specializes in the manufacturing of ultra-precision optical components, optical thin film coatings and optical sub-assemblies for demanding applications in lasers, materials processing, instrumentation, life sciences, avionics, and defense.

This site offers capabilities that include substantial design and engineering resources, comprehensive optical fabrication and coating capabilities, advanced assembly technology and an extensive in-house metrology lab.
