The Opportunity:
CACI is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to implement innovative applications and technologies, which will enable a multidisciplinary engineering team to meet the requirements of a mission simulation system. The chosen engineer is responsible for designing and developing advanced software architectures in a cloud-based RF simulation environment. This role involves evaluating design tradeoffs, defining technical standards, and ensuring the seamless integration of software and components with complex RF solutions. The Software Engineer will work closely with RF hardware engineers, system designers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-performance, reliable RF system simulation system. The Software Engineer will communicate risks and opportunities with the program executive leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Design and create software for a cloud-based simulation environment, ensuring it meets both functional and non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Deploy and maintain systems using Linux, Docker, Kubernetes/Helm, ArgoCD and Git best practices while ensuring high uptime and performance.
- Evaluate and integrate technologies to optimize the performance and efficiency of software components and virtual interfaces.
- Define and enforce technical standards for cloud software and infrastructure to ensure consistency, interoperability, and maintainability.
- Integrate simulation tools into the environment to support the creation of RF simulations.
- Create comprehensive documentation of software architectures, design decisions, and technical standards.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Must be a US citizen and have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
- 7 years of proven experience in software engineering and Bachelor's Degree or higher in computer engineering or in a field related to the computer engineering or computer science disciplines.
- Some knowledge of RF technologies, including antenna systems, signal processing, modulation techniques, and wireless communications protocols.
- Hands-on experience supporting systems of similar scope and complexity.
- 3 or more years of AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, ActiveMQ, MongoDB, and Elastic Stack or similar experience.
- Experience with automated deployment pipelines using DevOps tools like GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Nexus, Artifactory or similar platforms.
- Experience working in and with cloud infrastructure like AWS and Kubernetes.
Desired:
- Familiarity with RF software tools (MATLAB, Simulink).
- Experience implementing cloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes) with auto-scaling.
- Linux/Red Hat knowledge.
- Python programming experience.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$98,500-$206,800
