- Approximately 14 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, construction administration, or a similar function (will look at internship experience).
- Understanding of purchasing and procurement fundamentals, including sourcing, supplier management, quotations, purchase orders, and commercial terms.
- Experience with purchasing, procurement, and supply chain management processes.
- Ability to generate and manage purchase orders and related documentation.

Job Description The Associate Buyer supports procurement activities for both project-based and operational needs by sourcing materials, equipment, and services, while assisting with supplier and subcontractor administration. This role ensures purchasing activities run efficiently, supplier documentation remains current, and project teams receive timely support throughout the procurement lifecycle. It offers a strong foundation in transactional purchasing with a clear path to more strategic procurement responsibilities, including sourcing, RFQs, contract negotiations, and vendor management. Responsibilities

- Review purchase requisitions to verify accuracy, completeness, approvals, and supporting documentation.
- Generate and issue purchase orders using SAP Business One in alignment with internal procedures.
- Coordinate Requests for Quotation (RFQs) for materials, equipment, and services, including supplier outreach, quote collection, and comparative analysis.
- Evaluate supplier proposals and identify differences in pricing, delivery, commercial terms, and service levels.
- Negotiate routine purchasing terms such as pricing, freight, payment conditions, and delivery schedules.
- Process online and direct-purchase transactions as needed to support project and operational requirements.
- Investigate and resolve purchase order, receiving, and invoice discrepancies in collaboration with internal teams and suppliers.
- Track purchasing commitments and project expenditures, following up on outstanding items and ensuring accurate documentation.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing suppliers while helping identify new sources to support operational and project needs.
- Support the onboarding process for new suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring all required information and documentation are collected and maintained.
- Maintain vendor records and coordinate updates to supplier information to keep systems accurate and current.
- Monitor supplier and subcontractor compliance requirements and address documentation gaps proactively.
- Assist with project-related certifications, forms, insurance records, and other compliance-related documentation.
- Serve as a liaison between suppliers, subcontractors, project personnel, accounting, and internal stakeholders regarding purchasing activities and order status.
- Communicate delivery schedules, procurement updates, and purchasing issues to relevant teams in a timely manner.
- Provide additional procurement, purchasing, and administrative support as assigned by leadership.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of procurement processes as the purchasing function grows.
- Support multiple projects, suppliers, and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.

Work Environment This is an onsite role based at a corporate office in Odessa, FL, operating Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $36.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
