Job Summary:
Leads and supervises drywallers to deliver high-quality results and foster professional growth. Leads the planning, coordination, and supervision of drywall and metal stud installation projects to ensure quality and timely completion. Manages crew operations of this scope across the project or a large section of the project. Drives team performance by fostering a safe, collaborative, and productive work environment that supports organizational objectives. Directs resource allocation and workflow to optimize efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to project specifications. Promotes continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, safety, and team development.
Key Responsibilities:
Leads, manages, and develops crews of drywallers to achieve high-quality performance and encourage talent development.
Coordinates with project teams and suppliers to facilitate timely delivery of materials and resolve site issues.
Monitors adherence to safety protocols specific to drywall operations and actively promotes a culture of workplace safety and accountability among crews.
Evaluates drywall team performance, providing coaching, training, and constructive feedback to support skill development, productivity, and quality workmanship.
Reviews project documentation, including blueprints and drywall specifications, to ensure accurate layout, installation, and finishing in accordance with project requirements.
Manages resource allocation for drywall activities, including labor, equipment, and materials, to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
Tracks the progress of drywall installation, preparing regular reports on milestones, challenges, and outcomes for leadership and project management review, while ensuring timely and precise completion of time cards.
Education Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
Work Experience:
7 years of experience in drywall installation, construction, or a related field required.
1 - 2 years of experience in a managerial capacity preferred.
Certifications and Licenses:
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-Hour Construction certification preferred. OSHA 30 program completion within 6 months of hire is required.
