THE ROLE
The Adult Family Home Supervisor oversees the daily operations of an adult family home and helps ensure the health, safety, well-being, and quality of life of the individuals we support.
This position provides leadership to direct support staff, coordinates services, ensures compliance with applicable regulations, and helps maintain a safe, supportive, and person-centered home environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the daily operations of an Adult Family Home
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to residential staff
- Support individuals with disabilities in achieving greater independence
- Ensure quality care and services are provided in accordance with individual needs and service plans
- Assist with staff scheduling, training, and performance management
- Monitor compliance with organizational policies and state regulations
- Coordinate services and communicate with individuals, families, staff, and other providers
- Complete required documentation and administrative responsibilities
- Respond to emergencies and help ensure appropriate emergency preparedness
- Promote positive and proactive behavioral approaches
- Identify opportunities for quality improvement
- Support the personal development and independence of individuals served
SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION
- $22.75 per hour
- Varying shifts to provide coverage
- Primarily daytime hours
- Weekend availability required
- Holiday availability required
- Flexible schedule based on the needs of the home and individuals served
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- At least 2 years of experience working with adults with disabilities
- Associate degree or other post-high school coursework in a human services field
- Previous Adult Family Home, residential care, or licensed facility supervisory experience
- Experience providing leadership and directing staff
- Experience with care coordination for individuals with disabilities
- Knowledge of proactive behavioral approaches
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple responsibilities
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to operate a computer and learn various software programs
- Reliable non-public transportation with required insurance coverage
- Ability to transport individuals when needed
