</p><br><br><b>Responsibilities</b><br><div><div><p><strong><span>Sourcing management </span><span> </span></strong></p></div><div><ul><li><span>Engage with cross- functional leadership including Network architecture, engineering, quality, and business teams to determine best design solution and supply base to deliver that solution at optimal Supply chain, Continuity of supply, and cost.</span><span> </span></li><li><span>Own the switch sourcing process, partnering with product engineering teams on high visibility technology developments and delivery of innovative solutions. </span><span> </span></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><span>Provide sourcing engineering expertise on datacenter switching platforms, evaluating switch architectures, merchant silicon ecosystems, optics technologies, supplier capabilities, and technology roadmaps.</span><span> </span></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><span>Lead industry initiatives and innovate on business models to deliver best in cloud solutions. </span><span> </span></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><span>Define RFQ / RFP activities and conduct negotiations with suppliers. </span><span> </span></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><span>Manage contracting activities with Legal and ensure contracts reflect appropriate business terms, IP protection, etc. </span><span> </span></li></ul></div><div><p><strong><span>Cost and operations management </span><span> </span></strong></p></div><div><ul><li><span>Build multi-sourcing strategies to mitigate risk and drive appropriate competition. </span><span> </span></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><span>Identify cost reduction opportunities and drive supplier competition with cost modelling and other sourcing tools. </span><span> </span></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><span>Manage NPI (New Product Introduction) development builds until mature enough to transition to sustaining sourcing team. </span><span> </span></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><span>Support programs through the development phases to ensure continued optimization, parts availability, and contract readiness. </span><span> </span></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><span>Run weekly, monthly, quarter review with team on cost and operations KPIs. </span><span> </span></li></ul></div><div><p><span><strong>Manage supplier performance and compliance</strong> </span><span> </span></p></div><div><ul><li><span>Create and deliver supplier relationship management strategy. </span><span> </span></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><span>Drive RFQs and supplier selection process through a cross-functional analysis around supplier capabilities. </span><span> </span></li></ul></div></div><div><div><ul><li><span>Develop and enable the introduction of new suppliers. </span><span> </span></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><span>Oversee compliance with MSFT requirements for security, social responsibility, and payment terms. </span><span> </span></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><span>Ensure suppliers deliver timely corrective actions from business review / </span></li></ul></div></div><br><br><b>Qualifications</b><br><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong>:</p><ul><li>Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 3+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related roles<ul><li>OR Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 4+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related roles</li><li>OR equivalent experience. </li></ul></li></ul><p><strong>Other Requirements</strong>:</p><ul><li>Ability to meet Microsoft’s standards for security screening, including passing Microsoft Cloud background checks biennially.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong>:</p><ul><li>Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 6+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related roles<ul><li>OR Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 8+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related roles</li><li>OR equivalent experience. experience applying data analysis and continuous improvement practices.</li></ul><p> </p> <br><br><p>Sourcing Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year.
