Industrial Sewing Operator Job Description:
PrideStaff is working with a custom fabric and metal products in the Northwert Metro with a wide array of offerings, including awnings, shade structures, marine covers, and industrial fabric solutions. If you're looking for variety, this is the role for you...one day it’s a commercial awning cover; the next you’re working out how to put together an odd-shaped cover for a piece of equipment.
We’re looking for an experienced sewer who can take on our more complex work: read a drawing, plan the build, handle heavy and awkward materials, and turn out product that looks right and holds up outdoors. You’ll work alongside our fabrication, metal, and install teams and see what you build go out the door and up on buildings across the Twin Cities.

Industrial Sewing Operator Job Responsibilities:
Build custom awnings, covers, curtains, and fabric products from drawings, patterns, and specifications.
Plan the build sequence on complex and one-off jobs; flag issues with drawings or specs before cutting and sewing.
Set up, adjust, and operate industrial sewing machines (walking foot, double needle, and others).
Work with heavy materials including vinyl, acrylic canvas, mesh, and clear vinyl.
Inspect your own work for fit, finish, and durability before it moves on.
Hit production time standards while maintaining quality.
Keep a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
Industrial Sewing Operator Job Requirements & Working Conditions:
Several years of industrial or commercial sewing experience — awnings, marine canvas, upholstery, tarps, covers, or similar.
Hands-on experience with industrial machines and the ability to set up and adjust your own machine.
The interview includes a short hands-on sewing test — your chance to show us what you can do.
Able to read drawings and specifications, measure accurately, and work from patterns.
Takes pride in clean, straight, durable work and catches problems before they ship.
Reliable, shows up, and communicates.
