Job Title: R&D Engineer Job Description Join the Electrical Custom Solutions team within this Engineering Services organization as an R&D Engineer. Your primary role is to utilize company products to design systems tailored to meet specific customer requirements. Responsibilities

- Analyze customer documentation, including requirements documents, construction drawings, 2D prints, and 3D models.
- Design custom solutions based on customer requirements in core areas such as lightning protection, grounding, bonding, and flexible connections.
- Provide technical advice to customers.
- Produce engineering documentation for customer review and approval.
- Support the sales team and customers throughout the quoting process.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team during design and production phases.
- Use engineering design and simulation software tools.
- Continuously seek ways to simplify processes and enhance customer experience with engineering services, guiding improvements from concept to implementation.

Essential Skills

- Mechanical design
- Electrical engineering
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred), Mechanical Engineering, or other related engineering fields
- 3+ years of experience in the electrical or power industry

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Experience with Lean or Continuous Improvement methodologies
- Great communication skills, particularly in customer interactions
- Experience in construction design, power distribution, or substation work

Work Environment This role involves a balanced work environment with 50% design work and 50% collaboration with team members and customers. You will be working in a dynamic setting, configuring and designing tailored grounding, lightning protection, and electrical solutions using existing catalog products rather than creating entirely new products from scratch. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Solon, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $48.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
