About the Goodbody Graduate Programme

This is an exciting opportunity for graduates looking to develop a career in the financial services industry and to join our high performing teams in our Dublin office on Dawson Street. During this programme, you will have the chance to work alongside and gain experience from our teams of highly qualified professionals who have unrivalled experience within the industry.

For the 2027 – 2029 cycle, candidates will choose their preference between:

Investment Banking – Corporate Advisory, Equity Trading, and Research

Investment Banking supports companies as they make important financial and strategic decisions. Within this area, graduates can gain exposure to Corporate Advisory, Equity Trading, Research and Sustainability, while learning how teams analyse businesses and markets, support transactions and communicate insights to clients and investors.

This is a great option for graduates who are curious about financial markets, enjoy working with numbers and want to understand how companies raise funding, grow and make strategic decisions. With guidance from experienced colleagues, you could help research companies, industries and market trends; gather and check information for financial analysis; assist with valuations and financial models; and contribute to presentations and materials used in client meetings or live transactions. Depending on your rotation, you may also learn how equity markets operate, how investment research is developed and how sustainability considerations inform business and investment decisions. Throughout the programme, you will build a strong foundation in financial analysis, commercial awareness, teamwork, attention to detail and clear communication.

Investment Management - Private Equity and Asset Management

Investment Management is about researching opportunities and making informed decisions about where and how money is invested, with the aim of delivering long-term returns while managing risk.

Within this area, graduates can gain exposure to Asset Management and Private Equity (Capital Partners), learning how investment professionals assess markets, companies and different types of investments.

This is a strong option for graduates who are interested in financial markets, enjoy analysing information and want to understand what makes an investment attractive. You may support company and market research, review financial statements, build financial models, monitor existing investments and help prepare investment recommendations and presentations. You could also gain an understanding of public markets and wider economic trends, as well as how private equity teams assess and support growing businesses. Throughout the programme, you will develop your analytical thinking, commercial awareness, attention to detail and ability to communicate clear investment insights while working alongside experienced colleagues.

Graduates will choose their preferred business area and have the opportunity to rotate and work on various teams within the business area. From day one, you will be a valued member of our team and will have the opportunity to work with team members of all levels, supporting them in delivering successful outcomes for our clients.

You will be provided with support across the programme including a dedicated buddy, educational support, as well as training in core competencies along with regular feedback and networking opportunities.
